Ryan Shoemaker B.Sc (Hons), RRC
With a passion for learning, early on his outstanding academic achievement earned Ryan the University of Toronto’s National Book Award. He was granted his Honours Bachelor of Science at Queen’s University in Molecular Biology. He then went on to study International Finance and Commerce in the UK, at the Bader International Study Centre, before returning to Toronto. Most recently Ryan completed the Foundations of Wealth Management course at Wharton, one of the most renowned business schools in the world, and Behavioural Finance from McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University.
Ryan contributes to Investment Executive magazine as a feature resource for their articles on financial planning. He remains active as vice president of his alumni association, and guest lectures at his alma mater—the Smith School of Business at Queen's University. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys travelling and spending time with his wife Lisa and their sons Benjamin, Elliot, and Noah at their cottage on Lake Joseph.

Adam Plaxton BA, CFP®, CLU, RRC
Adam joined IG Wealth Management in 2009 after several years with a major Canadian bank. He holds a degree from the University of Toronto and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and holds both Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC) designations.
Throughout his career, Adam has shown a commitment to excellence while continually expanding his expertise. He served as a division manager for four years, mentoring new IG Consultants and providing support for their success.
As a CFP professional, Adam takes a personalized approach to financial planning. He listens carefully to clients’ needs and crafts tailored strategies aligned with their goals, such as retirement planning, investment management, tax optimization, estate planning, and risk management.
Adam emphasizes education and empowerment, ensuring clients fully understand their options and potential outcomes. Through open and transparent communication, he builds trust, enabling clients to make informed choices and take control of their financial futures.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his two daughters Ava and Alivia. His interests include travel, hockey, golf, and skiing.
Olivia Giammarioli CPA, CA
As a chartered professional accountant, Olivia brings a strong foundation in accounting, finance, and strategy. She began her career in public accounting, auditing banks and broker dealers before moving into the fintech space where she helped launch several product lines. Most recently, she worked as part of a corporate capital planning team in the telecom industry, managing a $400M capital budget. Olivia’s passion for helping clients achieve their goals blends into her personal life, where she volunteers teaching financial literacy and facilitating tax clinics.
Lena Liew
Lena joined IG Wealth Management in 2023 and brings over 15 years of customer service and management experience in the luxury retail space. She is results-driven and committed to providing the best service to clients. In previous roles, she focused on client centricity by developing and implementing service strategies to benefit overall client experience.
Josephine Jillepalli
Josephine joined IG Private Wealth Management in 2006 as an administrative assistant after receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from York University. Furthering her experience, she obtained her licensing before starting with Ryan in 2015. Josephine has gained the trust of the families and clients we serve and is a resource for them with their day-to-day transactions, legal, tax preparation and corporate administrative work. She values the personal relationships she has forged by providing extensive knowledge of the financial industry and is an integral part of our team.
